3 Ways to Overcome Hardship

Things do not always happen for the best, but I can choose to make the best of the things that happen.

I’m sure every one of us has experienced tragedy to some degree, but it’s up to us what we make of that tragedy.

We could choose to let it consume us, define us, defeat us, OR we can take the lessons in whatever we are facing and create something greater than ourselves, facilitate growth and optimize greatness. Create a platform that allows you to conquer whatever may be standing in your way, overcome it, and share it with the world.

Here are some ways to express yourself in a healthy way:

1. Talk: whether it be a friend, family member or a therapist find someone supportive to confide and problem solve. Repressing feelings, or emotions will only allow for imprisonment of your thoughts. Free your mind, free your thoughts, free your soul.

2. Activate your mind and body: where one goes the other follows. Start going to the gym, yoga, hiking, anything that will allow for growth. Sit in a classroom and learn something! Commit to your own health and love yourself.

3. Give back: Take your new found freedom, conquers and resilience and share it with the world. If you can support others during their time of need, or prevent them from experiencing the same tough situations you’ve gone through. What’s stopping you?

There is no greater happiness than the happiness that gives beyond yourself!
